WHY?
The Curators Conversations (CC) project fills a vital gap in the art community by offering a platform for curators at all stages—emerging, mid-career, and established. It recognizes the essential role curators play in shaping art narratives and connecting artists with audiences, while addressing their lack of resources and mentorship. CC aims to create a supportive environment for idea sharing, collaboration, and skill development, fostering a global community that elevates the curation profession and encourages innovative practices.
02
The initial phase of the UX process involved extensive research to understand the needs of curators across different stages of their careers. This included qualitative methods such as interviews and focus groups with curators from various backgrounds, as well as quantitative surveys to gather broader insights into their challenges and aspirations.
This research informed the design decisions made throughout the project, ensuring that the website would be user-centered and responsive to the specific requirements of its audience.
